Dog makes incredible recovery after being dumped on roadside only 30 days ago

The mangled, dishevelled and near-hairless dog on the left of this photograph looks a world away from the adorable, healthy animal pictured right next to him.
But they are the same dog, with the healthier photo taken only 30 days after it was abandoned on a highway in Florida.
He was found alongside his brother on July 22, and was suffering from malnutrition and demodex – a parasitic mite responsible for causing fur loss.
He has since been christened ‘Dodger’ and now appears to be every inch the healthy puppy after being treated at Clay Humane animal clinic.
Dr Christian Broadhurst, who helped the animals on their road to recovery, said: ‘We are not sure how they ended up on the side of the Interstate, but most likely someone dumped them there.
