Just curious about the users here, as I'm working on a project in this space:
How are you paying for your Thai 3G data plan?
Credit card, 7-Eleven, Thai bank or other method and are you happy with this method?

AIS pre paid 7-11 and choose a #777* plan that I think will suit my usage for the month ahead.
I use it also as a hotspot for my laptop when I am away from the home TOT fibre.
I go to their office on Silom and pay with my credit card.
I pay everything I can on my Credit card, I get the FF points plus no need to have to much cash sitting in a Thai bank earning nothing.
Pre paid 399 baht Ais Mao Mao
Top it up at 7/11 and my prepaid package deducts when there's enough credit.
Post paid as soon as my wages hit the bank. Usually 06.10 on the last day of the month. Paid by ATM service K Bank.
Upload credit from Scb to dtac. 427 b deducted monthly . 3gb 3G unlimited.
For people who are only there for a few weeks at a time, you can't beat this. It still allows dial-up type speed for a bit of surfing and chatting on Line etc for the entire week even if the 200MB high speed has been used up.

Double Happy Internet 79 baht/week. All-you-can-use.
200MB internet at maximum speed of 42Mbps. After complete, able to use internet at maximum speed of 128Kbps.
Seems ok for 79 baht up front. There might be better post-pay deals around for residents.
