Heather Mills is demanding £10,000 a day as her divorce settlement from Sir Paul McCartney, it is reported.
The Sun newspaper says the former model claims she needs the money "just to get by".
The pay-off, which the paper says Sir Paul will reject, works out at more than £3.5m a year.
The Sun quotes sources close to the former Beatle as saying she will agree to a high-speed divorce if Sir Paul gives in to her demands.
The Times rich list put his wealth at more than £800m, although he argues that his real worth is considerably less.
The couple split in May last year after less than five years of marriage.
They have a three-year-old daughter, Beatrice.
The divorce proceedings have become increasingly acrimonious and bitter, with both parties filing claim and counter-claim.
They have appeared in person at the High Court three times in the last week.
