Food Hygiene In The Boonies
I must say, I had to pass on an offering of Thai food today that my dear wife had prepared.
In thanks to Bhudda (who doesn't drink or want any shrines) she prepared a feast of thanks to him for the crop of Lam Yai (Yes I know it is a bit late but she is skint and I don't give money to false idols) a boiled pigs head!
The pigs head was placed on the jowtie at the bottom of the garden for about 1 hour, where it was a free lunch for a few nimble cats, and a million bluebottles.
After the "jowtie spirit" had metaphorically "Eaten" his dinner (touched nothing really- probably seen all the fucking flies!) and drank his Lao Kao, the feast was brought back to the house with a few unfinished bluebottles still guzzling their last mouth fulls.
The offering then had its eyes poke out and gouged by an inquisitive 12 year old and later dismembered and made into a disgusting stew, I lifted the pan lid to see a rather forced smile coming from the pan, it did indeed have nice white teeth!
They boiled up the feet too.....needless to say 12 year olds like to make dancing jokes Fred and Ginger it was not, but it was still quite entertaining), these were fed to the dogs who didn't stand a chance over the fucking flies!
