WANTED - Confrontation Assistant

Due in part to my laziness and slight stammer my Thai language skills are pretty poor , just enough to get by on a daily basis . There have been numerous frustrating situations when trying to deal with Thais , where I really wanted to speak my mind and let rip with both barrels . I know that letting rip and saying just how you really feel to a Thai could induce the wrong reaction and possibly end up in some sort of confrontational situation , but in my mind being able to get it off my chest would for sure make me feel a lot better in the long run.

So I'm looking for a strong minded farang who is fully fluent in the Thai language to be my personal '' Confrontation Assistant '' , some one who could stand by my side and let rip on my behalf , some one who can tell it how it really is with both barrels.


Have you ever wanted to let rip and just get it off your chest , but found your lack of Thai language skills frustrating .

So have you got what it takes to pull the trigger in Thai and tell the offender that they are wrong / stupid /childish / lying / thieving /morons /etc .

Think your living in the wrong Country mate ,, I know its amazingly frustrating at times ,, but its best to walk on by :)

Let me get this straight.

You'd like to let off some steam/vent your frustrations by letting someone else do the insulting (and therefore copping the inevitable beating)?

They'll appear even dumber than usual if you confront them, they won't rant back to you, just look at you and smile which will annoy you even more..

If they say anything it'll be along the lines of ''Not serious na ka...''

If you REALLY want to do it, this is the way to go. But also get a card printed which you can show a taxi driver, which says : "please take me to the nearest hospital".:rolleyes:

It's useless to argue about logical things to Thais. They believe what they believe. They think everything wrong is exactly the way things should be. They like corrupt people. You won't get far arguing with idiots. It's better just to leave or smile and ignore everything. Instead of wanting things to be better, you should join them and try to exploit them as that is what most all would really would like to do if they could. The happiest foreigners here ignore the insanity and enjoy the pleasures. Okay, that's the idea. I wish I could be that way myself. Good luck on your path to bliss.

When I first moved to Thailand I thought the same. But I've realized that's not actually true. The Thai are afraid of us - you're right - and that's why they hold us back, to the point of not even allowing us to buy a family home in our own name even if we're married to a Thai (not even jointly with a Thai citizen). However, the Thai operate through a patronage system of inter-family dealings, usually inter-chink-family system of business dealings. So if you set up shop next to a Thai-Chinese family business in order to compete, they'd still burry you - even if you had full legal rights and no articifially created bureaucractic impediments. When in Rome.. In other words, marry a Thai-Chink girl from a middle class biz family and you can become part of the network and you will likely prosper. Otherwise, marry a stunning indigenous Thai or Issan girl and have good looking kids and take them back to your country and watch them excel. Maybe one day they'll come back here, marry a thai-chin and so it goes..

I suspected it'd be something like this.

The Chinese-Thai bring traits from China such as education, good business sense etc That's why they're running the country.

Allow the dumb fuck Thai Thai population to happily exist because they'll never be a threat.
