Mr. Terry Watkins aged 54 is an Engineer from England. At the Hospital, we spoke with his girlfriend, Khun Aree aged 31 who explained that her boyfriend went for a walk around the bar and moments later he was found badly beaten and unconscious on the floor. Remarkably no witnesses to the attack came forward and further questioning of the bar owner and bar staff failed to reveal any clues as to the cause of this brutal attack. Mr. Watkins sustained a broken leg and facial injuries along with a suspected head injury and Police are waiting for him to recover as Police remain baffled as to why this attack took place.

About 1 am on January 16th, in Soi Buakhaw, there was a mysterious altercation outside the Noi Beer Bar involving two farangs, after a party, one of whom sustained very serious injuries.
The police were notified, but they arrived too late to discover the full facts of the case. The victim had already been taken to Pattaya Memorial Hospital. by Baht Bus and the assailant has disappeared from the scene. Khun Suriya Warriwong , the investigating officer, made inquiries of those standing around, but was unable to get a coherent picture of the incident.
Subsequently, the police were able to gain some insight into the incident from the girlfriend, Aree Thatprakong (31). Apparently, her boyfriend, Mr Terry Watkins, (54), had left the party and had been suddenly set upon by a tall mysterious farang assailant, possibly from the UK, who had knocked Mr Watkins down and jumped on his legs, which were resting on the raised pavement, thus breaking them. The pain was so intense that he lost consciousness. The assailant, subsequently, ran off in the direction of Soi Honey Inn.
Police are pursuing enquiries.
