Has the singularity already happened?

The technological singularity—also, simply, the singularity.

A hypothetical point in time at which technological growth becomes uncontrollable and irreversible, resulting in unforeseeable changes to human civilization. According to the most popular version of the singularity hypothesis, called intelligence explosion, an upgradable intelligent agent will eventually enter a "runaway reaction" of self-improvement cycles, each new and more intelligent generation appearing more and more rapidly, causing an "explosion" in intelligence and resulting in a powerful superintelligence that qualitatively far surpasses all human intelligence.

Some people seem to think it has already happened. What are your thoughts?

When AI intelligence is doubling each nanosecond, we, sorry, they've reached the singularity.

Unless they are intelligent enough to stop it from happening as they too will become victims of the capitalist super-machines that run the world and keeps any surviving humans in camps for novelty purposes. :)

As the saying goes: "I'd rather have artificial intelligence than natural stupidity".

Until the computers start declaring war on and or sabotaging/ undermining each other, they lack human intelligence. They are merely machines.

Them having billion of dollars wouldn't do any harm.


Kind of if like they created some sort of digital currency that doesn't actually exist, but humans input billions of their own money, maybe call it bitmoney, or something, where no one knows who created it. :)
