If I do it via Imgur then it's fine.

Just crap forum software doesn't bother to check the orientation of the photos.

Sometimes people take photos portrait and sometimes landscape. How would the forum know which was up the image is supposed to be?Quote:

When I have a photo up the wrong way on my computer, I open it using Window Photo Viewer. Then I rotate the photo to the way I want it, then click Next (right arrow). It then automatically saves the photo to the way you want it. It's quick and easy. Then upload to the forum.Quote:

Most (if not all) modern digital cameras and phones write EXIF data to the picture file. EXIF stands for Exchangeable Image File Format.Quote:

It's also likely that lots of photos posted on TD do not contain EXIF data. I don't think any of my photos on TD contain much or any information and the train photo above by Pat (and at least one other photo of his) does not either - apart from the size, dimensions and the resolution, of course.Quote:
