Any recommedations for hiring people in Phuket, please

it looks like i will need a housekeeper and handy man in the near future
the job comes with accommodation if required
i do not mind if they are Myanmar or thai
a couple would be idea for the job
any recommendations of where to find these these type of people would be very much appreciated
does anyone know of trustworthy people looking for work

I concur. While so many go on about "All" of them being thieves and scammers, while in fact there are many that would like a gig like that. Just have to find someone that can vouch for them.

Ya know Peter. People do come on here to help when people have questions. By your own post, you stated Your wife knows people and is not telling you seems odd. I did not ask about your marriage. I could give a rats ass quite frankly. I simply asked a question that if your wife knows, then why in the heck wouldn't she be trying to help? It seems like you post questions on this forum and people respond with suggestions or help and you go off on them. I vaguely remember a Generator question some time back and you went full on asshole to a handful who tried to help.

Agreed PAG. I didn't and do not want to know about his "Relationship" status. I was confused why his wife wouldn't pass on names to him. It just seems extremely odd. Sounds like she has the contacts to resolve his request and needs. But this again as Mike said above, seems to sadly be his MO. He posts questions in need of advice and people respond to help and he goes on a tilt and starts on with the poster and their suggestion.

The simple fact is, finding handymen/housekeepers (especially potentially live in) is normally done through extended family contacts.
