The last time we went camping I woke up alone because the daughter had sneaked back to her bedroom during the night, the bugger.
We did the same. Checked out and moved into one of the rooms upstairs next morning after an almost sleepless night.

I think the A/C is the key, so maybe mine and yours just wasn't "glam" enough?

I could well imagine it oop norf later in the year. That would work.

In a national park on the Caribbean Coast with limited electricity and boa constrictors obstructing the way to the outside toilets, less so.

^I've done camping (in tents) but it was always up north, in the highlands, at altitudes 1,500+ meters - during my hiking trips. I remember camping in the lowlands during my girl scout days, but it was way back in grade school & high school (in PH).

nice pics - going to Phuket in a few weeks on the way home from Euro (to Aus)- we stay south (KAta) but we also took the kids to that water park a few years ago - and they had a ball.
Russians - I often stare at Flightradar and flights from russia seem almost non-stop. I guess they can't go to many other places.?

Been camping and glamping in Thailand. Camping was horrific, too hot until about 3am where it was too cold and then it was too hot when the sun came up.

Stayed at River Tales Resort which was decent in Petchaburi. Tents and open rooms.

Edit: my review of it on TD says I enjoyed it a lot less than what I remember.

I'd like to see what morning looks like
Don't wanna drink pint after pint
I wanna wake up without feeling sick
    But I can't cuz I'm a drug-abusing alcoholic

I've camped plenty of times at Kayo Yai, the weather up there was pleasant enough in the evenings (may have been during cool season also).

We go glamping white hut in picture ,down side no running water no air conditioning no flushing toilet but it is inside.
On the positive side ,outside shower of sorts free mosquito net provided but the doesn't stop the ants biting you and free rent.
Fascists dress in black and go around telling people what to do, whereas priests... more drink!
