BISON BS8500 7KW/7.5KW Power Gasoline Generator 220V Petrol Generator

    That's a decent size.

What size generator for a house? You can run the most critical household equipment with a generator rated at 5,000 to 7,500 watts.
These include things like a refrigerator and freezer and lighting circuits.
A generator with around 7500 running watts can run all these appliances at once.

I would have thought that, given the volatility of the different fuels, diesel would win over petrol when the propellant/fuel sits in the tank for extended periods of time.

a diesel powered generator of the same size and make is 50% more expensive, that will buy a lot of petrol

Have you tried it for some time, say an hour, to see how it runs?

Have you filled the tank with Gasoline 95/what is recommended? Just that the ethanol blends could lose their octane ratings over time.

    Thanks

    Thanks for that.

Just one thing, could I warmly suggest that ... you try it for some time, say an hour, to see how it runs

Better to have tried it and not needed it than needing it and having not tried it.

You should run up the standby generator every month and switch it over for an hour every 3 months. I believe that's the recommended interval for domestic as well as industry.

How did you know he knew what he was doing? Why would anyone come on a forum asking for advice/help and then abuse some one who is trying to do just that?

In the end I hope it all works out for you.

And Roger Ramjet makes 5 ....Electrical, Instrumentation, solar, etc.
However the locals don't like my underground install and switchboard with ELCB and IEC standards...Wire colors in Thailand are "Thai Standard."
It stretches my abilities when, on my 220 volt street supply the Neutral to ground, and active to ground voltages are about the same...so proves what I have believed for years, that most of the world is totally over designed and over regulated to the benefit of large multi national electrical manufacturers!

because i am not as thick as a brick, like some people who post on forums (are you), and between myself and my stepson had a good idea of how the job should be done, which it was
why would you come on a forum seeking advice about anything in Thailand, you obviously do not live hear or you would know the answer to that question 5555
