    Passport office in Phuket?

    Hi,

My wife and daughter's Thai passports are due for renewal.
We will be in Phuket for a week's holiday and I wondered if anyone here knows if Thai passports can be renewed there, where the passport office is in Phuket and how long it takes?

    Thanks in advance

Some guy on TV a couple of years ago..

Just checked with my wife, Phuket native with good familiarity with TH ppt. Yes, can get in Phuket, in Phuket city. No express, service in one week (no guarantee, usually a bit faster).

My wife has renewed her Thai passport twice in Phuket town, if you go up the road with the Phuket prison on it and take the second road on your right after the prison the phuket provincial hall is on the left hand side, there are several other government buildings in the same area, if you inquire at the at the PPH they can tell you which building the passport office is in, her passport was posted out in about a week, i could be faster if you pick the passport up

It was all pretty much as petercallen said.
Quite a small passport office but the queue moved quickly. Hours are 0830 to 1630 Monday to Friday.
Photos done on the spot, just bring the documents, pay 1040 baht for the passport fee and postage to address in Thailand.
Took about 45 mins and the passport should be received at wifes home address in about 5 working days.

There was no mention of any same day or express service.
