Beach vendors get around beach chair ban..

No beach chairs allowed? No problem at Patong beach.

So now you actually do rent sand

the plastic loungers/Umbrellas are back on most of the beaches in their 10% zone.
Chairs per say, were never banned for tourist and u can use them in the other 90% zone if u wish

Chairs and umbrellas for rent on all the popular beaches now, But there is still plenty of room if you want to take your own, not like before when the vendors took over the entire beach from the waterline back and your had to walk in the walkway they left next to their stalls to get to the water and sit in the surf
Things are back to normal for the tourists who want to rent chairs and umbrella's and its not before it was due, i think they employ twitts to make the new useless rules in Phuket as far as tourists needs are concerned

Twitts come and go. Short lived silly twit rules soon pass with little or no effect.

No semi clothed rich people on Phuket beaches as anyone who has been to them can tell you
There are just middle income tourists on their annual holidays usually and young couples with children
The rich people stay at Lagun and swim in the resort swimming pools
Thanks for the spelling lesson David44, you can come with me next time i am out checking the crocodile snares if you want to, always short of a bit of smelly bait

Yeah but a "certain" country stole one of the Ts from carburettor! Almost when no one was watching.

Yup, I paid 100 baht a day recently at Patong. There is only one small area that has the chairs/umbrellas. They also cater to you for drinks/food, duster to dust off your chair.. which I really liked as the sand gets up the crack to easy.
