You really are as thick as pig-shit.

Chinese New Year is celebrated for different lengths of time, not only between countries (UK = 15 days) but, in different places in Thailand.
    Bangkok = 3 days. Phuket = 10 days.

Does this remind you of another holiday that is celebrated in Thailand for different lengths of time depending on where you are?

    I'll give you a clue. 13th April.

You really are proving to be congenitally stupid. You're embarrassing yourself.
    Have another go at Google.

Here's a clue. Chinese New Year starts on the same day everywhere because it's related to the lunar cycle.
It starts on the XXst January.

Come on Peter......this is child's stuff.

    I see you lurking Peter.
Have you finally figured out Google?
Are you feeling too foolish to post?

I recommend you go back to TV. You're just not ready for Teakdoor, yet.

When I google it, it is saying 31st January, certainly not February as you claim.

    From Phuketwan:-

    Phuket Coming Events 2014

January 9-12 Phuket International Boat Show, Royal Phuket Marina

    January 11 Children's Day

January 31 Chinese New Year (Horse)

    February 14 Valentines Day

You really are a silly old fool, Peter.

Peter, you have now graduated from looking foolish to looking like a moron.
How many of these Google sites say February? None?

I notice that you are now avoiding claiming an actual date for the start of Chinese New Year. Why is that? Is it because you're wrong (yet again)?

I have shown you a Phuket based media source that backs up my claim that Chinese New Year starts on the 31st January. There are also dozens of sites also stating this, yet, you don't want to believe it?

I have a better idea. Why don't you just wait and see on the 31st January.

They say it takes a big man to admit he's wrong. Kinda confirms what I've always thought about you. Blow off the dust and there's very little substance underneath.

    Buck, buck, bacaaaaw!

If they are celebrating Chinese new year on the 15-17th they are far too late, unless....

Chinese new year is Jan 31st/feb 1st.
Interestingly the celebration runs for two weeks and there is also a big celebration to mark the end of the two week period (fireworks and feasting and dragon dances) which may be what they celebrate on Phuket.
In my wifes hometown this is when the big celebration occurs, basically ignoring the actual new year, whereas where we live, the bigger celebration is at the actual new year.

Now why would I want to do that when I'm having sooo much fun sniping from the shadows.
Nothing to do with being a coward (frankly, who would be scared of a 109 year old) ex-sexpat.

As for your claim that you would drive out of your way to meet someone that doesn't even like you, pretty much proves you are fvcking weird. Also shows you can dish it out, but, can't take it.
You'e not in the playground anymore Dorothy.

Oh, what the hell........I want to see your impotent rage on your stupid face personally.

I'll see you at the Shipwreck Bar, Soi Bangla at midnight, tonight. I will have a red carnation in my lapel and have a copy of the International Herald Tribune newspaper.

    See you there Peter.
