I like Karron beach also, rent a cycle for 3-4 bucks a day and see elephants going
over the hill to Phuket. Stay in Karron. Ready to go to Cambodia, might see if I can get energy for one more. Thanks for the memories.

Great thread AO. Kata was the place in Thailand that convinced me back in 1985 that I might want to live there some day. I always have wondered what life would have been if I picked Kata instead of Samui to buy my first place in Thailand.

It looks like your family had a great time and I do want to take mine there for a vacation at some point.

Funny enough Rick I used to much prefer Samui, and had a place that is still running on Chewang beach 25 years ago. But now I do prefer Phuket, especially for the waves at Kata.

It's been several years since the wife and I were at Kata. It is my favorite place to stay on Phuket.
