Ex Phuket Info Site Members

Im wondering if anyone from the now Ex Phuket info Forrum members are on Teak Door now.
After the Owner of the site "Nicke" is now sadly no longer with us, it looks like his site is now no longer on the web.
I used to spend a lot of time reading the funny stories on there and a bit of time on here TD.
Seems there are just as many characters on here but not as many hard core monger types, but still some good stories to read and get some info about Thailand.
So any one crossed over to TD ?

No Biggy, Nickey owned The Mai Tai Bar in Soi Eric.

I only went there 2 or 3 times myself as Soi Eric did my head in.

Same here Lantern, ive been on it since 2006 and liked reading it. Seems weird some thing you get used to on the net just drops out of existence one day.

Im sure Ead will be ok as I remember they had set up a restaurant for her before his untimely death.

No offence mate, but this forum could do without members who just want to talk about the price of whores all day. That was the worst forum going IMO.

Yes there was a little bit of other banter, but it was basically tailored to the lowest common denominator of people who come to Thailand.

^ Just my opinion mate. It was a specialised site, the OP even used the words "whore mongers" in his post. Don't see there being a place for that specific topic to be discussed in such great detail, day after day, on a general forum such as this. That's all I'm saying.

I was a regular over at phuket-info and do agree with you regarding the over abundant discussion on hookers,but it did provide a service for a lot or first timers and probably made a lot of young lads first holiday more successful due to the information passed on the by old hands.

Yes there were a lot of hard core mongers there repeating themselves consistently but A Couple of Days in the Life of Denpar would have to be some of the funniest stuff written on a Thai forum,especially when he was on a drunken ramble.

In my opinion Khun Denpah is on the same level as our very own Mr Slap.And I must admit that I have sometime pondered the possibility.

^ That's all I was saying. Too specialised a topic for a general forum. This is predominantly an ex-pat forum, not a "first time sex tourist, looking to know where the cheapest whores are" forum. A mass migration of members from there to here, to continue discussing their specialised subject, wouldn't work IMO. It ain't gonna happen so it's a moot point anyhow.
