I was there this June and it was a bewt scorcher but last year June was a different story. Yes, I had a problem with my water pressure, so I asked advice on the construction forum.

You can find everything in Rawai that you can find in Patong on a smaller scale
Rawai has a lot less air pollution and a lot less traffic and its less than 20 minutes to the main tourist and bar areas if you think thats what Thailand is all about
Whats wrong with going out to restaurants with friends and visiting them in there homes, we travel a lot and enjoy our holidays but do not go to destinations looking for cheap booze and sex but to see and experience the countries and the normal peoples way of life and historic sites
I think Rawai is the best place to live on the island and so do a lot of other genuine expats
