    Tips Websites

Came across two [DSLR tip] websites over the weekend that I thought were OK. May already have made mentioned of them here but I didn't see them and thought I would share them:

I wasnt sure whether to start a new thread for this, didnt seem worth it so this lucky thread gets a link to a site with links to some Photoshop tutorial sites.

Ive just started using Photoshop alongside my usual photo editor and a few of these have come in handy so far.

This is a small-is search engine for Photoshop tutorials, theres 100 or so at the moment but Ive used a few of the sites before like
Abduzeedo - design inspiration and tutorials

So there might be the odd one in there worth trying out on a slow day.

Found this site from a blog I read, it links to a few basics of taking better pictures like the rule of thirds and how to use lines but theres a few other sections in the site that look useful for anyone who wants to try and improve their photo's.

^ Great contribution as always .....

I decided to rekindle my interest in photography after getting a bit of cash for xmas and wondering what to use it on. Anyway, it ended up buying a replacement for my Olympus OM-10 and mju film cameras. The OM-10 was my first camera, bought second-hand with most of my savings, and still a lovely machine. I had only the standard 50mm lens it came with and a 28-210 zoom/Macro lens but they served me well.

I decided to go for the Nikon d5300, which came with a 28-105mm kit lens and I bought a 35mm f1.8 lens to give me pretty much the same as I had before except for the macro. I am thinking about going for the Polaroid extension tubes rather than buying a macro lens. This is mainly for taking photos of flowers, another passion of mine.

That brings me nicely on to the next youtube tip; how to use extension tubes:
