I want to put a music file to background a picture sequence. My DVD/CD burner keeps rejecting this.
What I'm trying to do is download the pics and then the music file.
Am I complete idiot (yes), or do I need some sort of special program?

You need to set up a slideshow I believe then burn it.
Yes you will need a multimedia publisher of some type. Microsoft Power Point does it. You can create a slide show and insert sound files for each slide.Originally Posted by William
Of course your playback device will have to have Power Point program.
You can use Windows Movie Maker as well. Just pull in the pics to the movie frames and then pull in the music. Takes some fiddling but you are essentially creating a movie with a sound track. I use it a lot so if you need some help let me know. Advantage is you can save the movie in VCD or DVD compatible formats for playback.

^so, if I understand this correctly, I cannot burn a cd with pics and music the old man can play on his TV - through his cd player? (which is the intention)
Yes you can produce CD player compatible video if you use Windows Movie Maker. You should have it on your computer if you are using windows xp?Originally Posted by William

Think the Vista version is same, same. It should be in your program menu or so says Mr. Gates.Originally Posted by William
