Thanks to the service of this timely little mouse my well dodgy Asus laptop is now on its 3rd motherboard and 2nd battery in less than a year just before going out of warranty.

The only price to be paid was a well chewed USB cable.

Fair deal I reckon and the mouse gets a burial in the garden instead of being chucked in the garbage by way of thanks to mother nature for her fortuitously timed bounty.

One of the hamsters got the latter.

Already sealed up in it's envelope coffin. 'RIP', love hearts and names adorning it. The owner gone to bed.

Didn't think chucking it in the bin would be such a big deal.

Resting in peace under the banana trees now (and forever more.)

mr mousey rat is still in the freezer. I am now thinking that turning him into a rogan josh curry would really be the ultimate honour, more than mere terrestrial burying

Here is a big 12cm wingspan yellow moth with satanic eyes

    Wildlife Photography-pb190024-jpg

and beside a normal moth for comparison

    Wildlife Photography-pb190027-jpg

I have found that the best way to kill these beautiful moths to add to the collection is to catch them in a plastic tub and microwave them for 3 seconds.

More than 3 seconds and I have found that they will explode making a mess in the microwave and ruining any possibility of display

An ichneumon wasp paralysing a spider before taking it to seal it inside a mudwall capsule with one of its pupating offspring where the spider will wait several days for its fate, ready to be consumed alive by the tiny baby wasp when it emerges from its cocoon.

    Wildlife Photography-pb210053cropls-jpg

But there is happy ending for this spider since I rescued it from the wasp (after it had been paralysed) and it it is currently sitting inside an upturned beer bottle top on my desk facing towards my computer monitor where it can watch youtube videos instead of watching a twitching pupa slowly growing into the creature that will consume it alive.

And here is one of the capsules.

Open it like a Kinder surprise to find the ichneumon larvae fat on having recently eaten a zombie spider.

If you are referring to the frog NPT then green tree frogs do not secrete psychotropics like cane toads do but they do secrete anti-bacterial and anti-viral compounds apparently so you can keep one in your first aid kit.

Loops, i like the mantis, they are one of my favourites and i love finding them here in Thailand in the garden. Quick little buggers if you're trying to rescue one when they are in a shrub you are going to blitz with the brush cutter and i can't carry on until i know its safe. That poor spider went through the food chain.

^Mantis's are the coolest fuckers in the insect world apart from maybe dragonflies. They just look like something out of a horror film. the way they stalk up to their prey with their alien head swivelling from side to side. I can sit and watch him all day.

^^^^^Mods, the TeakDoor official Wanker's Wankstain of the year 2019 has gone all Fishlocker and spammed up the lovely Wildlife thread with photos from teh internet.

To the Jailhouse shower room with him!

If you squeeze their abdomen a little it will knock them out. Too long and it will kill them. Another method is to stick them in the freezer for a couple of minutes. That way you can photo and then let them go, rather than kill.

Daughter takes the pics, Miss Future-Marine-Sciences student, responsible for gardens and associated critters, this pic not so clear.
She thought adult tokay will eat the small ones, do they?
