I was joined in my study tonight by a small guest.
My furry friend was dispatched by a clubbing with a king size pepper mill.
Having recently watched Alone Season 5 I was curious how much nutrition he would contain.

Anyway ... the closest I've ever got to a Pteropus poliocephalus (grey headed Fruit Bat/Flying Fox)

The magpies have been fed a little over the years, just to keep them friendly.
I can hand feed to parents. They bring their young 'uns into our garden.
