True. We were returning from a week long diving trip on Koh Tao and the girlfriend made reservations at The Library (nice place) on Samui for a couple nights before we left for a short holiday.

We didn’t know when our last (deep) dive would be and she wanted to make sure there would be some time between the last dive and a flight to BKK. Safety – reason for the layover on Samui.

"Mekong at sundown." The wives brother heads up to check the nets as things wind down on the farm. I'll admit I hit an auto edit function but it looks cool so I'll through it out there. If I broke the rules let me know. I've dozens more like this as every night it's just an amazing spot to be at sundown for some reason. This was with an S5 smart phone back in late December 2016.

You may have seen this one from last year. I was walking along the river near the bench overlooking the waterfront when I thought I gotta put the beer down to get this shot. Again an S 5 smart phone. Not my entry so don't get excited. This shot was taken about fifteen minutes after the one above as I recall. I walked about 25 meters with the river to the bench that elevated the beer and glass to give a nice foreground object.

The first shot I took (I think) before deciding to get right in and personal with the Beer. I'm new at this but am learning. Again thanks to Phueket Richard and Bobcock who both have some nice work buried behind the walls in the halls of the Teak Door.

However, this is a tulip variety sunset, which fits the Valentine bill as well!

Edit: Should add it was taken at Keukenhof, Lisse, Holland, the only place to go for tulips...
