I'll be going to Thailand for the first time soon. Planning to scuba while there.
Last time I took UW pics I was using an old Nikonos V film camera. Yeah, its been a while since I was in the water.
I'm going digital with my UW and debating which way to jump. I'm wanting a housing and strobe, etc, for my T2i, but it is priced a bit high for my budget.
Because of that, I'm debating the merits of a dedicated UW point & shoot camera like the SeaLife DC1400 MAXX Duo (I'm not sold on the SeaLife, just using it as example). I can get the whole kit, camera, housing, 2 strobes for about what the housing alone runs for my DSLR.
First, there is a trade-off and I know it. I love RAW and feel UW shots need it more that most. I'm having problems finding dedicated UW point & shoot cameras that support RAW and would like to know if anyone has any suggestions.
Second, are there any Photo Bugs out there that have used one of the dedicated UW cameras like the SeaLife? What were your opinions?
(scuba depths, not snorkel please)
