It is a beautiful lens. Very crisp results.Originally Posted by Dillinger
My V1 came with the 10-30. I got the matt black.
The 30-110 is normally priced at $250
I had searched ebay for weeks. Problem is the lenses are colour matched and there is a wide selection of colours.
I eventually found a pink one (!) for $125. I mentally talked myself into thinking it would be OK and that cameras are not about appearance but results and was on the point of hitting buy when I luckily also spotted a black one for $140.... phew!
Here is the V1 and NEX 5 side by side. Shows you how skinny the NEX 5 is.

I can get that in Malaysia for 550 ringgit mate. a good saving you will find.Originally Posted by Looper
There is also a waterproof casing for those Nikkons, but I think it costs more than the camera.
All I need then is a mask , oxygen and flippers and I could lie at the bottom of that hotel pool all day snapping away, if i can sneak past their security
HERE'S THE WATERPROOF CASING
i'M LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING SOME OF YOUR SHOTS , sorry caps with that.Originally Posted by Looper
I was reading about that the other day, it got some great reviews.
i also loved that close up pic you did of a wasp or some insect before Loops, I cant remember what camera you said you used, but i'm sure it was from a compact and was spectacular
That is a good price. Mine was factory refurbished at $140Originally Posted by Dillinger

For performance none of my other cameras will touch the DSLR but it is a bit bigger to carry around.
here's a good site for camera reviews and all other gadgets

DPReview is good too.

The posters voted the OM-D camera of the year for 2012.
It is my ultimate fantasy wet-dream camera but at $1000 body only it will remain a wet dream I think.
Here it is side by side with an old OM-1 SLR from the 1970's. Almost identical. It is much smaller than a DSLR since it has an EVF instead of a mirror/prism
I have a Kyocera. Sadly it doesn't work any more the focus motor just whirs and whirs.
Mine has brown leather covering.
I've got a Nikon D3000 which hasn't been out of the box, and a Lytro, which I'm planning on using in Chiang Mai at the end of June.
Anyone else got a Lytro? Any tips?
Great camera for small bucks. Nice.Originally Posted by Raymond11112
I have gone off the idea of an OMD, so I am glad I did not succumb to the temptation of buying one for $900 body only. I have been a bit disappointed with the EVF on the Nikon V1 compared to the optical VF I am used to.
Canon has just brought out the 100D which is a full spec 18mp DSLR with a mirror but the body is a good bit smaller than any other other DSLR to date which is fresh way to go head to head with M43.
I'm looking at the Nikon 5200, it's beaten probably all of the other camera's I've put it against (in the same price range) on Compare digital cameras - Snapsort This looks like a great site for comparing stats.
Jeez...... I've got 8 that I can remember, but I'm not sure of what they all are....
Canon 5D Mk II
Canon 30D
Canon eos5
I have 2 Minolta SLR's, one is a Dynax 7000i
and an X7
I have a small Olympus Point and Push, a couple of Casio Excilims.

I've got a Kodak Brownie bought for me by my parents when I was a lad, I'm also a not so proud owner of a Nikon Coolpix L310 (shite.)
D3200 is a great entry level DSLR for the money. I did not think it was really professional wedding photographer material though TBH.
Do you shoot RAW when people are paying you for your time? I never shoot RAW but I am just a weekend fun picture snapper.
Interesting collection Bob. Here is my first camera.Originally Posted by Bobcock

I had a play with this in the Sony shop yesterday.
Sony RX1. Amazing full frame fixed f/2.0 35mm lens.
Very cool but for the money you pay you can almost get a 5D MkIII body.
This a more realistic option for my next pocket rocket.
Sony RX100. 1 inch type sensor so a step up from the base level 'serious' compacts like the S100 XZ-1
Oh yeah, I have an Olympus OM1 as well, must be in my house in London....
Olympus E-510 for DSLR
For video and quick and dirty point and shoot use I have a Sanyo xacti vpc-pd2
Looking perhaps at picking up one of those nice point and shoot Panasonics with the Leica lens.
Also cant do without this BlackRapid Camera Strap;
New to the board...
I have a Canon T2i. About to upgrade to the 6D.

I just bought a Canon 60D with A 18-200mm lens.
Well, what are you waiting for? Time to go for a stroll around your local haunts and post up some pics from the snazzy new piece of kit!Originally Posted by bsnub
