50 square metres is classed as big and for over £50k. Madness but good luck.

Personally I'm not up to date with Thailand/ Pattaya property prices but yeah I think 50k + sterling for a 50 square metre joint in Pattaya is excessive considering you could get a 3 bed house over on the dark side for that.

I assume the dark side is Issan ?
I bought a condo about 6 years ago in Pattaya . 56 sq metres and 1.8 Million Baht . Sold it for the same .
That condo is now 3.3 !!!!
So this one around 50 sq m near a nice-looking beach at 2.3 didn't look madness really . Come down a bit and maybe acceptable ? Of course the exchange rate is a difficulty .
But I looked on Google Maps and ' walked ' along the street . There are lots of condo buildings around so it must be worth having a stroll round first.

Sorry, dark side refers to the other side of Sukhumvit road in Pattaya. Khao Noi, Nern Plub Waan, Soi Siam Country Club etc. Don't get me wrong it's all supply and demand but condo living ain't for me but if people are happy to pay these prices for either a home or rental property then go for it. Just personally I wouldn't pay £50k+ for a 50 square metre gaff in Pattaya but as always each to their own as I find it excessive when can get the same in first world Spain.

Well you're paying for being able to walk out the door to a 7/11 and a pleasant 4 minute stroll down to the beach . No driving . No searching to park .
I'd never have it as a home . At the previous exchange rate it would have been £38 000 . It's the farang thing about having a pleasant home in Korat and a beachside escape . Having a home in Korat and a beach place in Lloret de Mar just wouldn't work .

    Cheers BB .
