    Floods in Pattaya?

Hey guys, i haven't seen a thread about the flooding in pats. I arrive in one week to BKK and would like to visit pats. I've seen a few youtube vids where it looks pretty bad. How has pats been effected by the ongoing flood situation?

Better not be flooded, we're there in a couple of weeks for Golf and I have no trouble finding the water that's already there!

would not count on golfing, live in Bangkok and was going down with my daughter. She is in to see her aging Dad. Anyway just to much rain and flooding. Look good before any plans, I did not go and I am praying all this stops soon. Many people hurt here.

The flood waters in Pattaya from the Sep 11th time period have receded and things are pretty much back to normal. No problems with the local Pattaya gold courses. There being played every day. Eastern Star, Emerald, Rayong Country Club, Plutalauang, to name a few. Not sure what things will be like in 2 or 3 weeks but I would suspect that things will be pretty much seasonal in Patters area.

    Well, just a few!
But thats caused by cash not flash flooding

    From my observations...........................
Pattaya as a lake.... no it is not
Flash flooding that subsides in a few hours ... occasionally

Main places I've seen are; 3rd Rd (Tai and Klang intersections) seem to flash flood the most, then Sukhumvit Rd North at the klong bridge cossings and south near the cable ski lake and floating market.

Golf, very soggy under foot, bunkers are lakes but that does seem to clear up with 3-4 days of no rain.

    Pattaya, no problems!
South past Jomtien, few heavy downpours every few days but no flooding.

Who know's what will happen next week but for now ... K'mon down

This flood situation is very confusing. The more i read the more confused i become. When do you guys think Thailand (Bkk, Kanchanaburi, Chon Buri areas) will return to normal? I have read reports of food/water shortages. Has anyone here seen these or been affected by the possible shortages? Thanks for the great input and info

Pattaya needs a tsunami, not a flood.

Pattaya is blessed and Jomtien even more so..no tzunami, volcano, earthquakes, hurricans etc. Close enough to the beach for flooding to drain quickly.

my crystal ball says maybe. depends on how bad the floods get.

I asked Yingluck... she said it'd be fine, then she told me to get the hell away from there. Then they said it would be OK again. .. hang on she said it's completely flooded now.. oh! wait! no it's not..

    ROFL!
The floods are being 'routed' around the city so I figured that might disrupt traffic a bit
