Pig & Whistle owner passes away. RIP.

The death of Bob Adams, proprietor of the Pig & Whistle on Soi 7, and his new establishment in Jomtien, occurred late last night. It is believed that the cause was a heart attack. He leaves his widow Sue and his 11 year old son. He will be sadly missed not only by his family but by his many friends, his loyal clientèle and his faithful staff many of several years service. RIP Bob. Your race was well and stylishly run.

Sad to hear it- I shared quite a few beers with him in Janes Bar, Soi New Plaza. He liked to pop in there for a pint quite often, incognito- those who knew who he was, weren't saying. Actually the guy was very successful- the Pig n Whistle was almost like a hobby for him really. Not your archetypal 'Pattaya bar owner'- his widow will certainly be well provided for. Very nice guy to boot, and he seemed to be in decent shape too. Sad news.

Always used to call in there for a breakfast if I was in Patts. Always had a good relaxed atmosphere, never too busy, and decent staff.

R.I.P Bob. Thoroughly saddened by the news of his passing. He was a great host and a genuinely decent man.Breakfasts just wont be same now in the Pig & Whistle without his friendly banter,it was all part of the service.
