Ahem!! Not quite.
All countries have "Methods/Systems" to manage their pollution. Some countries manage the problem better and than others.
The UK, Japan, US, Aus and most EU countries have strict controls and a population who demand them and are backed by regulatory control - local and central governments. China is being pressurised by it's growing urban population and a government recognition that it still has someway to go to meet "global" standards, but it is investing in the new cities, as they are developed, and the older cities as well.
Thailands cities, tourist areas and rural communities do not appear, to me, to have the same desire to match these standards.
Posters here imply "control" in Patters is somewhat lacking or no existent. I don't personally know what the situation is regarding Pattaya but my knowledge of Bangkok and rural areas indicates a lack of lack of "will" exists.
