Socal you are arguing with residents of Pattaya, who see the pollution day in day out.
every populated beach area in the world has the same problems, this is nothing new.

    Do yourself a favour

Stop making a cock out of yourself

Try and get a photo of the right beach too, numb nuts
I am discrediting the myth, nothing else. The myth is that Pattaya has no water treatment plants and places like the Marriot and the Hilton are pumping raw sewage into the beach.

I proved that that is bullshit. Sure Pattaya still has a bunch of local tree hugging cry babies that will always find something to bitch about, but generally, Pattaya beach is allot cleaner then people think.

The water treatment plant does exist, it is not there for show. What is there not to believe.....

yeah because nothing is better for their business then to have their beachfront loaded with shit.

Stay in your business because I don't think you would do too well in the hotel business.

The resort is an active member of EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) and a
voluntary member of Pattaya’s city environmental committee.

they have a bigger interest keeping the beach clean then you do.

Those little guest houses and shit add up to nothing. Plus there is no proof that these places are not getting directed to the water treatment plant.

There are 1,500 staff working at just the Royal cliff and last year they recorded almost 400,000 guest visits. The big hotels is where it adds up.

The Royal Cliff were at one stage the biggest polluters of Pattaya bay, now they are the biggest advocates for keeping it clean, funny how things change.

Road drainage is directed to the water plants, when it rains road drainage overflows, guess where it goes? Can't you smell it?

In the 90s the shoreline was littered with dead, washed up fish. Don't see that much anymore. Perhaps most of the fish are dead already or maybe it's not quite toxic enough nowadays to kill fish stone dead.

It's not just pattaya city shit to worry about, there's a whole petro chemical industry up the coast pumping out who knows what plus all of Bangkok's crap coming down the Chao Phrya.

The Gulf of Thailand is really shallow, even a couple of kms offshore you see less than 20m on a boat's depth sounder. Unlike Phuket, where a few hundred metres out and you're in 60 - 100M and you get 10-15 miles offshore and it drops down into the shelf. The Gulf is a shallow comparitively shallow pool of silty water.

Russians like it so much they regularly get arrested shagging in it. If it's good enough for the Russians on their two weeks' leave from the tractor factory it must be OK.

The rumor is that the beach is excessively dirty, and that hotels pump sewage into the beach. A bar girl told meAnd a few expats..

why would the beach be anymore dirty then any other populated beach area if there was water treatment plants ? The one plant is just over 10 years old. I bet most of the plants in Florida are older then this one.

Socal, get down there tomorrow, get some photos, watch out for floating diapers though

or maybe, just maybe the beach is clean now considering they put in a muti million dollar water treatment plant ? and they have environmental standards ?

I went fishing out in Pattaya bay in 2009 and we cought fish and cooked them on the boat. I have pics...

It isn't the most polluted beach in the world, or even Thailand for that matter, but polluted it is and there are far better alternatives not too far from there.
