Police Raid Massage Parlour Accused of Providing Sex Services
Local police on Wednesday morning raided a Thai massage parlour in the central Pattaya nightspot of Soi Buakao, after reports emerged that the business was soliciting prostitution on the premises.

Pattaya, the 20th of October 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 3:30am on Wednesday, Colonel Athiswit Kamonrat (Chon-Buri Immigration Superintendent) along with Lieutenant Colonel Panya Chaem-tes (Anti-Human Trafficking Division Police) raided the “Enjoy Thai Massage” parlour in Soi Buakao, central Pattaya.
The raid was instigated by authorities after reports indicated that the business was providing illegal prostitution services on the premises.
An undercover agent was initially sent in to the business to request these aforementioned services at a cost of Bt2,000. Upon acceptance his offer, officer raided the business arresting the owner and on staff member, later found to be under the age of 18-years-old.

Upon investigation of the rooms upstairs, police observed that they had all been furnished and decorated to propagate the solicitation of prostitution, while officers confiscated an amount of sex toys, condoms and gel from each of the rooms. Additionally, police seized the businesses account book and employee roster for evidence in their investigation.
Under interrogation, Ms. Anchisa Jerm Lae [34] from Burirum, the owner of the business, denied any involvement with operating a prostitution service in the rooms above her shop, stating that the premises was used solely for providing traditional Thai massages.
Authorities have since remanded Ms. Jerm Lae in custody while investigations continue into the business dealings at the “Enjoy Thai Massage” parlour.
