    Jomtien Restaurant - English Breakfast

Fancied an English breakfast this morning and couldn't be bothered driving to Pattaya so instead went to Yorkies Pork Platter in Jomtien, there main claim to fame is their English pies which they supply to restaurants in Pattaya and Jomtien.

As you can see in this photo if you get there early enough you have a nice view of the sea, later in the day it is just a view of parked cars though, still not too shabby.

The whole restaurant is all no smoking now and they have a chair outside on the pavement if you want to have a cigarette, inside they have a small air con butchers shop where they sell meats and of course pies, I used to go there a lot to buy my pickled onions but then they never had any for weeks on end so I gave up on that idea.

And onto the English breakfast, small sausage, 1 fried egg, half a fried slice, slice of back bacon, slice of toast and a big mug of tetleys tea, all in all 105baht, this is the small breakfast and small describes it well, although saying that it was cooked quite well although I prefer streaky smoked bacon and the fried bread fried in that fat.

Yorkies if anything is consistant with regard to their food quality and service.

Plenty of competition now and their pies are not my cup of tea.

IMHO- Be prepared to hang around the shitter for the rest of the morning ! Brekky looks edible, if you where a poofter on diet. However, for that price can't complain. If you want a proper full breakfast you should expect to pay an honest price!

No matter if there are cars or not, this is definitely NOT a nice view of the sea!
Simple cause something like this can not be found around the shithole of pattaya!
Enjoy your breakfast!Thats the only nice looking thing that can be found in that area! no offense!

It's pretty much what you can expect for that money, in that area..much else and the business would probably be losing or just making enough to refill their gas bottles and pay the lecky bill..not bad value for money in my opinion..although the half a fried slice is a bit fecking stingy.

DD, do you find the sausage from Yorkies to be missing something? Maybe too dry or not enough fat in them? I can't put my finger on it, but something is not up to par with them.

even for 100b it looks a bit mean and can hardly be called an english breakfast, and the heap of tomato sauce looks positively nauseating. the egg looks about perfect though.

might look better on a smaller plate.

as has been said before , never invest in an English Breakfast Made in Thailand unless you are prepared to walk away from it.

That looks fcuking awful. One egg, some slime tomato, a bit of meat and a half a piece of toast. Shit go to Tok La Dei in foodland and get twice as much for just over half the cost.

Looks like an appetizer before brekky.

Thai meat doesn't have enough fat content so it makes things like sausages dry.

I would think that Yorkies could mix in a little fat with the pork before making the bangers. I know one place that has the Thai butcher mix in extra fat so the hamburgers stick together better.

Plus there's air-conditioning. Sausage = hot dog though.

the owners are english butchers and pie makers. For your money you get a good meal whether it is english breakfast of a cooked dinner it is CLEAN unlike alot of the places i visited while in Thailand. Come to england and see if you get all this for that price, I think not. Plus the owners also have to travel to england to get most of there ingrediants as the stuff in thailand isn't as good or simply not available still they manage to keep there prices low. and they are probably 1 of very few that treat there employies with respect and look after them like family not like slaves.
In my opinion not bad at all.
