Pi's were big business especially in Bangkok pre internet days back in the 80s. Nowadays everybody knows that if you are worried about your fiancees loyalty before you bring her back to your hometown the one guarantee is that she will be banging dudes until she is strapped into her plane seat

Many years ago a friend of a friend asked my wife to check out a girl he had met. The next Saturday we jumped on a bus and headed to Sri Racha. Once we arrived I asked her if we were going to do a stakeout or wander around her neighborhood interviewing her neighbors? No, she had a more direct approach! She called up the girl, had a barbecue on the beach with her and her family and plied them with LOTS of alcohol. When they were too drunk to lie, she asked them about her background:

She was out of prison on probation. The charge was selling drugs.
She was the ex-mia noi of a tuktuk driver.
She had a child with the tuktuk driver that was being raised by his wife.
She had a dentally challenged male friend who seemed suspiciously close to her.
Her sister and brother-in-law were drug dealers.


Amazingly enough, none of this scared the fellow off!
