    Good hotel in Pattaya??

I'm sort of new to the website but have visited Thailand about 8 times over the last 15 years. I've noticed that some of you folks really, really seem to know a lot about the country...which I don't pretend to.

I'm going to be back again in January (for about the 5th year in a row) and plan to spend a few days in Pattaya while waiting for some dental work in Bangkok....

Sooooo, where is a good, clean, inexpensive place to stay where I'll be close to the action? (700B-900B) Thanks, in advance, for your suggestions!!

If you go down Soi Diana Inn you will find loads of hotels in that area at around those prices, also the LK sois and soi Lengkee, about 20 hotels in 300 meters of each other.

The Sabai Inn was 8-900, but I think starting November everywhere raises their prices. I could be wrong. If you haven't already booked a dentist, Art of Smile on the right hand side of 2nd Rd is fantastic & half the price.

Sabai Inn - Cosy and Comfortable like home

Just had a look & it seems you can get a room for 750.

    Yeah, I like that spot.

For bums and English teachers, the "Star Inn" is about 4-5 USD per night. It's north of Soi Diana, close to the "BayBreeze," which is also good.

Let, Apex, and such seem almost always full.

I like that place. The Sabai Inn/Sabai Lodge. Either will do.

Stayed at Sabai Lodge in September. Nice place but be careful of the corner rooms. Very small. Can barely open the door to the loo because the bed's in the way. Otherwise nice place, good pools/bar.

I like Shagwell Mansions, out near the Carrefour. Clean and well run. Breakfast included. Not near the main "action" centers, but in Pattaya you're never that far away...

    Jasmine Mansion?

Those suggestions all look to be very good. I also found a website for another hotel in the same area...Jasmine Mansion; does anyone know anything about it? How about the Nautical Inn? Also, how crowded will Pattaya be around February 1st?

    Thanks!

asking for a good hotel in Pattaya is like asking for the best whore in Pattaya, it's all a question of price

i stayed in the sabai inn and was satisfied. the rooms were quite dark, its far away from the main action, the receptionist was pretty, prim and proper and i felt a bit 'guilty', but other then that it was good.

I like Charlie Place on Soi Diana. It was friendly, cheap and clean. Lately I've been staying in the Pacific Jomtien which is an inexpensive quiet oasis.
