In Thailand, a red light means slow down a bit and see if you can jump the red light without crashing into someone else
My commute to work and back every day totals 170km involving 10 sets of traffic lights, everyone stops when they turn red.

Was in for a pleasant surprise on my first visit to Ayuthaya, expecting the usual battle of wits to reach b from a without getting killed, but they were among the most courteous and considerate drivers I had come across in Thailand. I've heard it's the same in Hua Hin and other royal cities, something they put in the water.

No. I rented them. I owned a 600 with a 17,000+ redline. 600's are lighter and snappier than liter bikes. You only need a liter bike if you are a fat cvnt

You can kill yourself riding a postie bike.

    My Niece's girlfriend is proof.

She was riding drunk. Nighttime. Soi-dog. Came over a bridge, at speed. Story over.

Sorry to butt in, there are many things you can do while drunk without killing yourself, though driving is one that risks killing others.

Its almost like the disgusting excuse of a human is condoning drink driving, hopefully he takes himself out and not some innocents.

Given your posting history and failure to understand anything you see online, you appear to be brain dead already. Immature and irresponsible as you are, no one is really surprised by your lack of morals, and complete absence of any empathy toward other humans.

it has been in decline for a few years, not sure when it all changed, it creeps up on u, and i try to allow for the good old days syndrome. certainly in the last 8-10 years tho. my analysis would be the farmers daughters are actually getting jobs, so more western than it was 20+ yars ago. where i live , a thai area, they all have a car or two, motocy's , there own house etc, yep the cardboard box room days are finally on the way out

not hot air but there was a static balloon, that winched up and down towards the sth end of patts beach, forgot about that, and no idea when it dissapeared. i guess it was helium or sumit.

I think to most Pattaya expats they are a diversion actually, from the serious business of drinking and maybe golfing.

Were I to decide to spend some years of retirement in the LOS then Pattaya would definitely be my place of choice. I've been there a few times, and not for the whores, and enjoyed my visits very much. The place has an international feel.

Thailand has a good balance of payments. Trade surplus and they had a quarter trillion in FX reserves even in 2010. Im surprised the Baht isn't in an even higher range
