Is not Backspin the muppet who swore blind that Pattaya had pristine waters and a world class beach - all the time while posting pictures of Pattaya beach, Ko Lipe?

There's none that I know of in Thailand or that's where I'd be living starting tomorrow, though technically I live over the hill from Pattaya in Jomtien. You correctly mention golf of which there's nowhere else that even comes close when it comes to choices withing easy reach (Pattaya has won best golfing destination in Asia multiple times) but I'd severely doubt there's anywhere else in the country that could compare when it comes to all sports from sky-diving to darts and everything in between. Don't know anywhere else with as many food choices as such bargain prices either, you could rightfully argue that Bangkok has 100 times more places to eat and shop, but it's not like you can just jump in your car and be at any of them in under 20 mins.

Tourists typically have absolutely no idea of what's available here outside the entertainment areas and it makes me cringe when they assume anyone living in Pattaya (or it's surrounds) are in Walking Street every night, though obviously there's a demographic who are and not being some God fearing fucking prude who thinks sex should be once a week lights off missionary position only when married, that's fine by me too. Bottom line is if you're happy where you are that's great and if you're not, just move to somewhere that has everything you want.

^I remember that story and how the shit hit the fan when the President (or similar) of the Thailand Bridge club got involved, who was some Khun Ying from Bangkok

But that sort of thing is typical Thailand and if stuff like this bothers you, Singapore is that way ==》

Motor sports too. Speed boating , tubing , parasailing ,jet skiing , go karting , street biking. I think there's trail riding for quads and mountain biking.

    What did I miss

Is there hot air balloon riding ?

That's about the only thing I've not seen here (except being attached to a cable as Fondles mentions) when it comes to things to do besides sit in a bar, which some think is our sole option of entertainment

There's tandem seat microlight flights though, and those parachute things where you strap a lawnmower engine and propeller to your back, gun it, then run like fuck till defying gravity and going airborne. I suppose if you had a death wish those could fill the void of being a long way off the ground with no safe way down if things go wrong

    And...’TOTAL’ replacement?

I organised a quadbike group last year, they have trails from novice through to extreme, not cheap I thought at the time but worth every baht.

No way. I should bring my 660 Raptor out.

I seen one for rent just like mine around Pattaya. Some Lebanese guy rented to ride on the road

Yeah illegal street racing is not exactly an accessible sporting highlight for tourists.

I don't mind Pattaya ... bit of something for everyone.

Beaches are shite and a Bitch of a place come Songran.

The Family go there at least once during the Christmas visits ... we stay at the Waterpark themed Hotels.

Hard Rock Hotel is great. A short walk to a decent restaurant and the beach has been really nice this year...

And cheap considering it's closing down.

Closing down normally makes hotels more expensive, then?

I am up North and I LOVE coastal areas. Been to many and still go routinely just not Pattaya or Hua Hin. Pattaya Is what Pattaya is. A tourist city by the beach and I don't care what others might say. Pre Covid the place was jammed with bus loads of tourists. Vans everywhere. It's no different then Baja Mexico, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Nassau, Bahamas, etc. They attract Tourists because it is easy and caters to them and typically over charge them. It's the nature of the beast.

As for scams on Jet Skis, I have personally witnessed a few while I was living in Jomtien. Huge ordeal. Police came. I sat and sipped a cocktail with a business colleague as it unfolded. All I said to him is Welcome to Pattaya.

But again I had set my expectations to it and I did my 1 year work project and gladly left.

    Wow, you are stupid.

Wow, you fail to make sense again.

    Actually scratch wow.

You have been posting verbal diarrhea for the past 15 years, so wow is no longer necessary.
