    Na Kluea beach?

Taking the missus and kids down to Pattaya for the night.

We normally stay in Jomtien, so it was easy for the kids to swim in the hotel pool, sit on the beech with a beer whist they were building sandcastles and the missus could get her seafood hit in the evening.

This time, we are staying in the Na Kluea area for the first time.

Is there any chance any of you local members could advise on the best stretch of kid friendly beach in that area and a family-friendly restaurant recommendation. No lower or upper budget for the restaurant, just needs to sell things that once lived in the sea.

    Cheers in advance.
    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

Naklua fish market will be closeby mate.

How you are gonna cook it, is the question though

Never really dined in that area, must be some seafood restaurants nearby. Maybe try the DusitThani or another 5 star hotel for for dinner. Look on the eatigo app.

Are all the water parks closed in Thailand? I would have recommended Ramayana or you are on the doorstep of the Centara Grand Mirage if you can get a day pass to their great little waterpark and swim up bar.

    I haven't been there for a dog's age but...

Coast Beach Club & Bistro and the rock/beach promontory where one can sit in the shade.

    But will anything be open?

    Cheers lads.

I booked the hotel with a half-decent pool last night on the off chance the government would give the nod that booze could now be served in restaurants. The government came good and lifted the ban. I hate seafood, but am more than happy push around a plate of fried rice and watch the family have a pig out whilst having a few drinks.

The plan is, bit of beach, dick about around the pool and then dinner. Once the kids are tucked up, I will hopefully find another restaurant that resembles a bar with sexy waitresses and go and get sloshed on my own.

Was gonna book the Mercure but turns out they're limiting the amount of people who can be in the pool so decided it wasn't worth it.

A quiet, open beach that sold food and beer would be lovely.

Where's the Gent to help out here? Naklua is where where his socks and sandals wearing self scowls at locals and hates life in general, in between threats of leaving Thailand he must have stepped outside and looked around a few times you'd think.

I booked a couple of minutes away from the beach hoping the hotel is dead so the kids get the run of the pool.

Some really good deals going on. Got a 2 bedroom studio with brekkie in a 4* (or was it 5*?) place for well under 4k.

I am a member of Centara. They have some good deals if you sign up.

A mate of mine has a condo in Northpoint and he rated Mum Aroi very highly. Never been myself, not that much into seafood, but he is a right fussy bugger so would take his word for it.

Been to Mum Aroi once back in late 2017. It was OK. Prefer Pupen in Jomtien.
