How do you teach English Literature if you cannot write the language?
Is it English Lit. translated into Hindu?

When you are in class and ask if everyone understands something you have just said, does the sea of bobbling heads make you feel seasick?

Why would you choose Bangkok, and not say Lahore?

for a prof. of english literature, bombastic and magniloquent language is inevitable both for teaching and writing.i have a lot of passion for english literature.i teach english lit. in english only. not in translation. i teach classics like paradise lost and shakesperean plays including chauser in chaste english.

Cool. But pretty sure "Shakespeare" never wrote a play called "Chauser", and if you are referring the the author "Chaucer", as a "lit. prof", I would have thought you would be able to spell the name correctly......

Hard to spell when your head is bobbling back and forth.
    Try it.

    Bye.

By the way, the comment was from All's Well that Ends Well (2.3.262) a play by, well, you know, Shakespeare - your supposed area of "prof" expertise.......would have thought a "prof"would have picked that up.....

I have a very well educated Pakistani friend who refers to a motor vehicle as a 'conveyance'.
As in 'I took my conveyance to the hotel' I suppose if he took a donkey he'd also say 'conveyance' though.
