For those that Knew Michael Lambauer.

I am personally distressed to announce that my friend, Michael Lambauer died last night due to a motor bike accident.

Michael was a good guy, always polite and cheerful and had built up a very successful business known as Lomatec Pools.

I pass on my sincere condolences to Michael's lovely wife and family.

I will also post the information about his funeral service as I learn about when it will happen and for those that want to attend.

It's a sad, sad day for many of his friends here in Thailand.

    RIP mate.

Very tragic event, and it goes to show that even if you wear a crash helmet and don't drink and drive, the Thai roads are so terribly dangerous and you're toast. Alternatively, you can be grogged up on Beer Leo, but still weave home in the traffic as sound as a pound.

Was he one of your mates who you were laughing with the other day (Anal Sex?). It goes to show that one day one is having a playful chat, and the next day, oblivion.

    Life is fragile.
    Amen.

I met Michael a few times- his company did my pool. He built up a decent business with a reputation for quality, no easy thing in Thailand. Very sad indeed. RIP.

    True.

The Midget came off her bike today. A bin lorry had left a huge pool of oil on a junction on the way to the landfill site and did the Thai thing and simply fucked off without bothering to do anything about it. Luckily, she's a careful rider and was only going very slowly. She has a graze on one elbow and aches a bit, but is otherwise fine. First accident in 20 years of riding scooters here and hopefully the last one. She'll be making more of an effort to use the truck in future.

    Re post #4 above
I think your post was in very bad taste in a thread that is offering condolences and also remembering someone as a decent person .

Also I may be a relative noob here and not known the deceased but I offer my condolences to his family and friends who may be members of this forum

    Well said Steve.

Post 3 along with post 4 were offensive and before Moog edited his one.

I ignored both of them at the time but your post sums the situation up perfectly.

    Thanks for your contribution mate.

I always have a conflict in paying condolences regarding a person I never knew or met, on a forum the relatives never read, and to a family that I don't know and who will never receive said condolences.

Mr Lambaueer's untimely death is a reminder about the frailty of life in general. One can only hope his recent life was happy and stress free.

I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.

I can accept your position mate but I started this thread mainly to inform other members who knew Michael about this tragic event and to let them know about the funeral details. Hence the OP no bells and whistle question.

Inevitably you get idiots coming on with inappropriate posts and it makes you wonder whether these fools have anything better to do with their lives.

I understand you and he had issues in the past and I cannot comment either way mate.

He's gone now and cannot defend himself but I know Sabang was very happy with his work and service.
