    Songkran in Pattaya

So what are you doing this year?

Are you a miserable old fart or an immature pant wetter?

I'm gonna be a whinging old git about it apart from the actual day (or 2) then load my truck up with bins full of water and go with the flow.

I would post pictures but life's too short.

what day is Songkran being celebrated in Pattaya so that I can avoid the mistake of visiting that day. I am going to Chiang Mai also but leaving before Songkran starts. It's like trying to outrun a hurricane.

the KFC delivery man is going to be on my Chrismas card list I think as we are going to see each other so much next month. :-)

Fcuk Pattaya for Songkran. I experienced it once in Phuket and said never again. I celebrate it in the village up north. A much better experience, in my opinion.

I'd rather spend Songkran being waterboarded in Guantanamo before Pattaya.

I couldn't begin to imagine songkran in Pattaya. Oh hang on I was there in 2004. It was just a bit too much so-called 'fun' that also co-incided with several casualties dying on the roads - they never learn do they?

Luckily I never stayed in the centre of town.

I get back in from OZ this coming Sunday, will be spending the daylight hours of next week working on my pickup, I return to work on the 16th so will miss the majority of Songkran..... What a shame.

I was gonna launch into the standard 'Songkhran in Pattaya is awful' spiel, but it's actually not that bad on the Darkside. I've never been to central Pattaya for Songkhran, and I doubt I ever will.
