Played Phayao last week. Good course and no-one else there
18 holes = 600 inc caddie
Phrae - forget it, not worth the drive to the Airport.

There are some good seafood restaurants along the lake front (Kwan Phayao) and a lovely view across the lake. It's been a couple of years since I was in Phrae, but I don't remember any restaurants of specail note, ditto Nan. Farming country generally simple rustic restaurants with OK Thai food
