They do. I planted three 2 years ago and I am already whacking them back to avoid them getting to big. In fact last year I cut back our Noi Na trees and they are already big again and loaded with fruit. Of course this rainy season really spurred their growth along.

The one behind the pool bar will be a big problem later if I do not get it out (one way or the other )

there's a few noi na farms up the road and they seem to prune heavily such that they are maintained at c7 foot max seems the way to go.

Yesterday late afternoon my long time Dell Laptop I use to watch sports shows on the big TV in the pool bar took a shit. It was nearly 9 years old.

Hopped in the truck and headed to the city, stopped at IT city and Jib in the Central mall to compare prices and picked up a descent HP Lappy at JIB. I do not use it for anything except the sports events and YouTube music

Got it all configured and back in action. With the holiday season coming their is NBA, NFL and a host of NCAAF bowl games to watch.

This morning early an express shipment rang the bell and my wife's 15 Lotus plants showed up. Guess we are going to do some Lotus pots.

This of course required a trip to the plastic bucket wholesale place. Off on the Wave I go and my wife took her Scoopy I. Now this was interesting as on our way to the place we came around the corner and BIB had one of those road side stops. It was too late to turn around. Like always up here my wife and I never wear our helmets and I left my wallet at home. I thought "Well shit, Happy Friday". We came up to the stop and as luck would have it, one of the BIB is a good friend of ours and has come over to dinner many a time. He smiled and said something to the others and waved us through.

Buckets strapped in and wife with about 20 pails back home we went.

This is a very old Temple near us. I think like 500 years old ( I'd have to check) . It always has people visiting it from all over and many come on the horse buggy ride. I have taken a few horse buggy rides over the years and they are pretty fun.

Well Beer O clock. Winter is gone. Was 19c this am and now at noon its already 30c.

    Happy Holidays.

Yeah I know. All the roads around these parts are laid back easy going and not a lot of cars. Almost all scooters as the roads are old and narrow. Same riding my mountain bike, not gonna wear a helmet.

That said, I always wear a helmet on my RVF and R3 because I am out on open roads with traffic and much higher speeds.

    The easy life.

I am whopped. I'd rather dig holes instead of swapping out Lotus plants. It's too much damn work.....

Thought OK....easy, just get the water out. Well there is mud in them. It took hours to get all 4 clean.. In the mean time....Sandy.....

...........sat and staired at me while I was cleaning up mud...,

Earlier in the day I prepped up a nice Australian Beef Tenderloin for the grill later

Took a break to sear and grill dinner.

As served. I made up some homemade potato salad.

Day done...... Nice night. Not winter as some of us know winter........

They were both quite good. I will admit potato salad with a grilled Tenderloin is an odd mix, I just didn't have time to whip up some veggies and mashed taters and gravy. It's a lot of work to cook for one. My wife had her smelly fish na prik with cucumbers. I am glad she ate that away from me.

I am considering starting my own thread titled

"A day in the life in the not so North , but more North than Korat"
It would be mostly me bitching about Roosters, and the occasional dog poop complain.

    What do you all think?

Outstanding Idea BB. Make sure to include pics of the dog shit shovel. I am just about to grab mine up and make the rounds.

As for the roosters. Just go over to the neighbors with a few bottles of whiskey and trade for them, then kill'em. It's a huge win for both parties.

Actually that's an outstanding idea. Not joking

Not much chance of that happening, one look at black socks while wearing Sandals and I might as well be wearing a
    "Kee Not Falange" tee-shirt

IMO Khon Kaen is the Issan "Goldilocks Zone,"
Not as much foot damage as Korat, and less brain damage that Lampang
Just the right amount of foot odor, and drain bramage
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

Beauty Christmas eve day. My daughters got their gifts in the US and they were quite happy. Today wife decided that not only was she going to clean all 9 water pots, but I was going to have to move 4 of them from under the trees. Damn things are heavy to flip up on their side to wash out.

    One gone and moved

New location, going to put 3 together

Don't even ask about the black tubs in back. Another wife project that...well...lost interest.

Lots of various species she ordered with hybrid flowers and styles.

I did add one to my water feature out front

Got Lotus plants by the pool area all done late last night.

Fixed up my solar fountains and replaced a few old panels.

Tomorrow is NFL Sunday. Holiday off. It will be beer by the pool day.

    Happy Holidays..
