Yeah, Good food and Pops on the right track.
I am glad to be here. Staying through Thanksgiving. Planning on trying to pull a bunch of family this way to do a big fat bird and Ham,
Wife, Pops and I enjoyed the Italian Day. Good food and nice weather.
Almost Cal vs Miami game.
I know. That shift is interesting. The Cal game was great but they gave it away in the 4th.
Going to be an interesting season with the Dubs. Was fun to watch that game winning shot. My Dad and I jumped up and laughed.
Niners today in scorching heat and Cowboys on the evening game. Going to pick up the necessary eating and drinking supplies this morning.
Well Pops is all good after the heart procedure but they did not have to repair what they originally thought was the issue. As they began the process they found that the wire going from the pacemaker generator as it's called had developed intermittent contact with his heart which was causing his heart run away like an AFIB issue. They replaced the pacemaker and connected a new wire to his heart and all back to normal.
Crazy med technology nowadays. I admitted him at 11:30am and picked him up at 4 and we were sitting watching the Monday Night Football game at 5.

Glad to hear it all went well. Steve Austin wasn't so far fetched looking back
While my Pop rests I did some shopping.
Total Wine and spirits has the best selection of Bourbon and Rye Whiskeys I have come across.
I gotta say, being limited on what I can bring back, it makes the decision tough. I went with 3 of my favorite Ryes and 1 Bourbon that I picked up the other day at another bottle shop.
The WP is a single barrel, small batch 10 year. Clyde Mays is a cask strength 9 year, Minor Case is a 6 year finished in sherry casks.
This mornings walk to town was a very crisp 43f ( 6c ).
Beauty morning in the vineyards
Picking the last of the Cabernet grapes
Picked me up a 12 pack of some mix of IPA's.
Cheers Norts. I passed along your regards. Temp cycles around here are all over the place. went from 104 a few days ago to 78 today. Marine layer dropped in. I saw a few Coyotes with 3 pups this morning running the Vineyards.
Friday it is. Warriors on soon. Wife making up some Nam Prik Ong to wrap in cabbage for dinner. My dads favorite dish.
Few random pictures walking to town through the vineyards
Downtown Saint Helena heading to the bakery/coffee shop
Marine layer in today
Beauty morning. 8c Fog through the vineyards. I take a 4 to 5 mile walk every morning and pick up a coffee.
8°? But blue and sunny, I love that kind of weather. How’s your pops doing?
^ its shame he needs to recover in front of a TV with footie on and his lad to change the channels, oh and a barbie and a beer if thats allowed.
^^Odd post that numpt, even by your standards.
As I walk through the vineyards to town every morning, I have picked up a few new friends that watch me closely. The first 2 pics are the female. the 3rd pic is the big male with his mate camouflaged behind him. Every day the fear of me is less and less. Very good looking Coyotes. Typically you are supposed to report if you see them and the DFG ( Department of Fish & Game) comes and eradicates them but I never do. This is their area to live, I can share. I see Foxes from time to time as well. The Coyotes are around as there are a lot of Jack Rabbits which is their primary source of food.
Love this area. Full moon coming tonight. I can still see the moon at 8am. Right now there are red flag fire warnings out for high winds and extremely low humidity (4% humidity this morning). Crazy wild fires start and cause significant damage. Had one start in the Oakland hills yesterday and devastated the area in minutes along with 20 homes.

Indeed it is. Russian River always got dry and up by Folsom lake area
I was a volunteer fireman for Fresno county up by Shaver lake. We owned a cabin up by the lake and when up there I checked in to be available. Many times fought fires and sadly many fatal accidents during winter and snow season.
Greens owed to the heroes who fight/fought fires. Thank you gentlemen.
A small mountain town I sent a lot of time in growing up as a kid, they used to say "Everyone is a firefighter up here". I always remembered that.
Many parts of Australia regularly go up in smoke in summer. Fire-fighters really got there work cut out to try nip that in the bud. Gotta take my hat of to them. Especially the volunteers
