It's been raining pretty regularly here, which I like....except for....

I am regularly finding these big bastards around the place and while the sting isn't that bad you still want to avoid them.

I have been out on the ATV up in the mountains and always swing by the lake.

Came back from my ride with heavy rain and lots of cows...

Yep those black ones are OK. The little brown ones are nasty, got nabbed twice over the years and they are like having a hot knitting needle stuck in you for an hour or so

The ones with big claws are generally not poisonous, it’s the small clawed bastards that reply on their stinger that are deadly!

A UV light will show them up (in the dark) as they all fluoresce.

Agree with you Mike and DW. I am not really worried about them and they are easy to avoid being so big. It's those little ones of a different species that pack a punch.

Now those big ass centipedes are to be avoided. I hate those damn things. I don't see many, but their sting can cause severe pain and in some cases death. I cut those bastards with a shovel.

Nice scenery and pic from the drone, Stumpy!
    That scorpion looks scary!
I love your atv, and shots from it. I was biking on a trail the other day and had to share it with ATV's. They are popular here out in the more rural areas.

Looks like a Taco Bell being kitted out at Tha Pae Gate. Opening on the 29th, apparently.

Might hang around The Rose of The North a bit longer.

^ They've had a Taco Bell at Swampy for a while now... I've tried it twice and both times was awful so I've given up.

I'd even go a MacDonalds in preference to Taco Bell at the airport, only I don't because you have to use those self service machines to order it.

There are a few nice Mexican eateries around Chiang Mai now. No need for a big chain to move in. Sheesh.

WHAT???.. a Taco shit in CM? Taco Bell was survival food going to college. 6 pack taco Sunday for $2.00. Was shit but sustenance late night cramming for finals. Der Weiner Schnizel was a close 2nd with their Chili Cheese dogs. I bet it is wickedly over priced crap here. Never been, Wont ever go.

^ with that said about Taco Shit

Picked me up a very nice Prime Rib Bone in steak while in CM the other day.

    Quick sear on the stove

Moved to Grill and added Butter and garlic and indirect cooked.

Lunch as served watching the Giants play the Dodgers enjoying a Deschutes IPA

    Speaking of CM,

wife and I did a day trek to CM to some mountain nurseries to pick up a few plants and then into to town for some various things not available in Lampang.

Few plants for the ponderosa jungle.

Made up a big batch of Salsa from items I picked up in CM and locally

Of course no good deed goes unpunished as I picked up a case or so of a few IPA's.

After that big fat Coma steak above, I rode into the mountains on the ATV. The bamboo jungles are over growing fast now and lots of Elephants around.

There certainly are as per my recent experience in one. Jerry Garcie was there chowing down so I figured it would be good.

Likewise today I forgot to eat my weetbix and was hungry as fuk so pulled into a Guzmam y Gomez and got a burrito $ 15.00 fuck take aways getting expensive.

Hey Ghost. I find the Little Creatures IPA available randomly at the Central Mall Tops market. I bought the 12 they had on the shelf. I also picked up 12 of the below Batsquatch IPA which are also from OZ and extremely good.

Also picked up 6 of the Deschutes IPA.
