    He did

At times Stumpy thinks that TD isn't "worth it".

A point of view that's sane enough for me.

He took a break; that's it

Few pics over the Songkran holiday

Was enjoying a nice day on Friday April 12th and then later we had one of those rogue storms that blew through the area. Fast winds, lightning and lots of rain. It made the news apparently as it destroyed the area. Our neighbors roof left, power poles blew down, a few internet towers blew over. We got almost 2" of rain in about 5 hours.

Few pics of carnage on our property

    Lime tree

    Jack fruit tree

    A newer flowering tree

    Branches off various trees

Pool full of all sorts of shit

The next day got out the ATV to pull the trees up straight.

ATV was a nice way to easily pull up big trees to have them supported.

Got out my chipper to mulch up all the tree debris

    Onward and upward.

Wife made up one of my Fav dishes. "Curry from the North" as it known as as.

Big hunks of pork getting ready to simmer

Simmering. Could smell it all around the place.

Moved to smaller pot and added shredded ginger. dinner later was outstanding.

Sunday family showed up for a big feast and fun. Glad I did the pool cover extension when I did

The little twins had a blast in the tube.

The other nieces showed up later and we had a few more after. GREAT family fun, music and food.

Monday we did the blessing and my wife and I went to the local temple.

All in all a relaxing fun Songkran.

Theyve just survived a Cat 2 Hurricane... although the place does still look tidier than Mendys

a coffee table magazine ponderosa style microbe free showcase, or a lived in home, showing the wrinkles, the cracks, the aches and pains and the patina of life.

if both homes could write a book, which one would you prefer to read?

Amen to that Mike. I was thinking as we all sort of ran into the house as the lightning was right on us as the flash and then the explosion was right on us if the cover extension was going to find a new province. .

I swear it was something like that RD. Here are a few local pics. My weather station clocked winds at 60kmh with some gusts even faster. Took a few days to get the place back in order.

Amazingly we did not lose power but internet has been out on and off as they erect new towers. Of course this is the worst time of year to have an outage as everyone is long gone to home for Songkran. The stage area where they had set up for music i heard they are still looking for the cover.

hahaha, what do you think we do not live here Tax? Some folks have a level of personal pride in their surroundings and keep a place proper. I prefer a place that is well kept and maintained and do not need floor rugs around my toilet because I piss all over the floor Nothing patina about that, That's just being a slob but I guess if you have prostrate issues the rugs can help eh?

I think your idea about " Patina" and mine differ quite drastically. I suspect you think of it as piss on the floor, toothpaste residue in the sinks, dirty mirrors, mold in the showers, dirty dishes in the sink, crap and clothes laying all around the place etc. In the US we call that "White trash and Lazy". Appears you think of it as patina of life. Whatever works for ya.

A bit of enforced gardening there! On this occasion, I’m pleased I am poor and I don’t live on a big plot. Enjoy what’s left of Songkran.
