Stumpy, take care with your snow plough!
^ To be honest mate, I've been watching a lot of Netflix series lately...
It pays to be prepared for the unexpected. :)
Snow plow in Thailand?
Well it does have a winch to assist with the unexpected moments I might get stuck and I have 4 plastic 55 gal drums that I could use to make it a pontoon ATV. The plough is on a wish list.
All kidding aside, I know a few friends who live in Tahoe that use snow ploughs on their ATVs. Work great.
What about a snowmobile in Thailand?. What does Netflix tell you about that idea? :smileylaughing:
^ That is a dream for almost every Thai..... Me. I prefer to never have to shovel snow again... :)
Rained all night and pretty hard, sun out now finally just afternoon. Wang is back up to flooding areas south of us again. I was down by the river enjoying a coffee and I was physically watching the river rise. Must be some heavy rain in parts of CM
One of my Thai colleague long time friends home in Phetchabun is flooding. The Pa Sak river is over the banks. He went home to help and sent me vids. These pics are from local news.

Ahhh Yes, some sun...finally. took a ride on the ATV to check on the Wang. Not sure about weather towards CM but been a nice sunny day down here and much needed

Pulled up my chair and watched a nice day come to an end.

Soon after Judy, Sandy and Annie pulled up a spot. Not sure where the black devil headed off too. :)

Wife and I went into the city for a bit of walk around, shop and eats. Was crowded as always and lost going on

Sat down at this Italian place and I had small pepperoni pizza and wife had the pasta........ then.....

There was a few lightning flashes and about 2 minutes later, a full on downpour basically with zero notice. It left the vendors scrambling to get their merchandise out of the rain. People grabbing tarps and lots of market go'ers jumped into help. My wife and I sat at the restaurant for nearly an hour and watched it pour, it seemed to have lightened up and we made a run to the car about 3 blocks away.

Finally some sun. Dogs laying out on the driveway to enjoy some heat, ground still a sponge and the Wang river still running very high
Looking crystal clear.
Funny you should say that...:D

With the weather hopefully improving, I want to start my pool access / garden trestle project. I picked up the Teakwood but with rainy weather I just let it sit.

When guests show up they tend to walk all the way along the side of the house to enter the pool area, so I thought a trestle entry feature would be nice in the area.

Got all the tools set up and wood laid out.

Can't have a project without an ice cold beer in hand. :)

Maggie watched the project begin while keeping a keen eye on the gate.

The project continues. No rush or hurry. Annie is waiting for me to toss the ball for a bit...... :)
I was sitting in that exact place a few months ago. I often enjoy having a chat with Thais on politics and religion but I didn't bother with this bloke as I assumed he might not be up for a bit of banter.

^ Cheers. SG. First time there. Pizza pretty good. Wife liked the Pasta. Will return again at some point.

Between some rain, Break to watch NFL football, work for work, I put some time in on the trestle

Forgot how damn hard Teak is. Had to square up everything, pre drill holes before driving in screws.

Completed both frames. Still a ways to go. Need to cut middle supports, add the pre cut design wood, mount a solar light then attach to the cement. I ordered some metal wood to cement brackets but they are just to thin and flimsy I think. Looking for others. All else fails I will get some plate steel and weld up and make 4. I was hoping for the easy way. :)
It's a band t shirt called Cradle of Filth.

Morning after the dog run starts with cooking up some chilis. Wife calls me over as she had to exit the kitchen and needed me to keep them moving. This is always brutal. Eyes water, sneeze and cough. No need for coffee.

In support of my redneck friends in the states, I went to the local supply shop to pick up some metal on my ATV to make my own trestle mounts.
https://i.imgur.com/6U0DddS.jpg
Picked up some plates with the mounting holes and cut off pieces and welded them up. Still need to drill holes to hold the wood and paint.

Uncle called and needed some help with his gate and the metal track. His gate wouldn't open right.

Being uncle lives right on the Wang, I walked over to the spill way. The Wang is still incredibly high and the spill way is angled to release water faster.
Almost cocktail time before the tree trimming begins... :)
Do you not need plates for your atv thing?
My electric bike is in a bit of a grey area where I think I probably need them but nobody who can give me them can get me a clear answer.
To be fair if I get knocked off and burst into flames plates will be the last of my worries.
And haha you said wang.
