5.3 Richter quake felt in Chiang Rai


Chiang Rai - An earthquake measured at 5.3 on Richter scale was felt in this northern province late Thursday night, the provincial meteorological office said.

The quake happened at 12:21 am along the Burma-Lao border about 90 kilometres away from Chiang Rai.

The office said a mild trembling was felt in Chiang Rai's Mae Chan district.
