    Missing (maybe) person

    Hello,
My son Pedro Almeida just moved from Chiang Mai to Lampang to teach english at a school that is about an hour drive away from Lampang. Over the weekend his phone stopped answering, and he hasn't answered email or facebook messages.
We don't have any other points of contact.
If anyone has any idea on how to search for him, please let me know. My facebook is Marco Almeida.
Any help will be most welcome!
    Marco

If you know the name of the school in Lampang, you might consider trying to contact them.

At times the Thailand Tourist Police can be helpful in these cases.
You might contact the local Tourist Police in Lampang....
I'm almost positive that these phone number can secured with online searches.

More often than not, English will be understood.

Or, perhaps the individuals national embassy will be able to expedite any contact processes or help with local information.
    Good luck.

Yes, and as he is the unconcerned type, he hadn't updated his info with us
I'm hoping that through the local Thai consulate tomorrow we are able to call the schools (there are maybe a dozen in the area) and find which one he works at

Ok, please disregard the concern. Just got a message from him, all is good.
Sorry for the bother, but all the best

Now this begs a question how long does one have to be incommunicado before one is considered missing?

5 days apparently. @OP Assuming you ever bother to come back here again, did Pedro call you every day or something? I reckon I could go a month and my old dorris would not be that concerned. She'd be angry though.

Caution: moderators are severe on any posts that infer that Teakdoor is not a Missing Person's Bureau for Mums whose phone calls were not answered.

This post will probably be censored for sedition too.

Happy ending Gazo, I can understand your concern, many Road accidents this time the year.
Lampangs very laidback and not at all like Pat's or BKK.

What is the name of his school. Make a note of his schools name.
On a Thai language site I looked up his district, but only found about 5 worried Thai parents who's teenage daughters had gone missing at the same time. It's okay they have come home safely.

that was probably the reason for not calling every day, he had met some cute girl at the school and decided to stay in for a while
