Crazy dog and Ancient, thanks for the feedback also.
I will see if we can have a look at such a concert sometime.
What might be the problem if a women is alone such a place ? Rape ? Loss of face ?

Perhaps. You know as well as I do, that falangs get blamed where there is a possibility of money extraction, so I just dont bother going to big do`s.
The last one I saw, involved around a dozen youths throwing bottles, and those ping pong style grenades. Yes they were seen off, but it still cast a cloud over the evening.
No they shouldnt. What if they were with a person who was supposed to be trustworthy, and known to the family?
What exactly are suggesting? Care to elaborate, rather than speaking in tongues?
I aint superstitious, but I know when somethings wrong
I`ve been dragging my heels with a bitch called hope
Let the undercurrent drag me along.
Strange concert last night, organised and paid for by the Police with Police logo on the tickets. I was expecting hordes of uniformed cops, but never saw one. It was at a private University in a very nice concert hall. Seems the whole event was an anti drug concert, but no mention of drugs and no posters, leaflets etc. After the Mrs said it was probably done just to use up some of the Police budget before they got the new one in Oct, but as far as anti drugs campaigns go it was a waste of time. I have been to a very visible anti drug one recently though at another Uni but not done by the cops.
Concerts are being increasingly used by the govt to get their message across, to little effect I would say, mostly it is done to promote health campaigns, but also the ministry of 'information' have been sponsoring some radio concerts, will be going to one today to see the 'Queen of morlam'.
Police money well spent i'd say, On Oradee

Astasinim. There is no hidden agenda here.Originally Posted by astasinim

I just wonder why a single female is not advised to go.
In the west, she might get assaulted if she is in "the wrong place at the wrong time", maybe it is the same in Thailand ? I am most familar with USA and Europe, thus my question. I am not implying Thai men or women are particulary bad compared to other nationalities.
interesting info

Sorry to lower the tone of the thread a bit but......a while back I saw a video on a bargirls' phone of a concert, somewhere in Isaan I think, of one of these shows with naked girls dancing on the stage.
I've been to a few of these shows around the country but never seen that before, unfortunately! It looked like your typical open air stageshow with loads of young Thai lads at the front leering, the girls were butt naked and there was a couple of little paddling pools they were splashing about in. Anyone ever saw or heard of one of these?
