    Looking to relocate to Ubon

Hi everyone. As the thread title suggests, I'm looking to move to either Ubon or the surrounding areas. Is it simply a case of heading up there and taking a look, or are there any online resources I can check our beforehand. Thanks in advance

That's very decent of you MeMock, cheers. What's the rental scene like? Need a house, not a condo or room.

There are houses around but you gotta be prepared to put in the time and effort to find them as you only ever find them by looking at signs on fences or word of mouth.

Small houses with small yards go for around 4 - 5 k a month. Nice houses go for around 7 - 10 k a month.

I know of a good one in a great location that will be available in about 2 months time.
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

10 - 15 k will get you a small mansion. (Not as many of these available though)

Assuming you are from Bangkok there are 6 flights a day from bangkok with Nok, AA and TA flying the route.

    Hi,

I am moving up from Bangkok for a reccy of Udon. I've been looking at houses - seems like they are few and far between on the websites.

Any advice, MeMock? I could drop around 15k on something - but it needs to be fairly central

    Cheers,

    P

durr - in my haste i realised the OP was moving to Ubon, not Udon.. Need to get my alphabet out again....

    Hello,
I'm currently building a house in Sisaket, and will be retiring to there from the U.S. early next year. I'll be there in a few weeks to check on the house and shop for kitchen and bathroom supplies (sinks, bathtubs, toilets, etc.) Any advise on where to look for these things at a fair price in Ubon? I'm sure some of you have already been through this, and would have a lot more knowledge than me. Thank you

Plenty of places for house stuff, there are 2 of the above, plus home hub and home something else on the ring road. You can get anything you need. Jim

TSF furniture which is in Ubon but on the sisaket road. Better quality furniture, better service and delivery. Worth checking out.
