have visited the site, its pretty standard excavation, not much to see but the story behind the find is truly magical.
However, not far away is a small museum that is one of the best and most focused I've ever been to. Worth the trip just for this small museum. Don't recall the pricing for entry but was minimal and don't remember if it was dual pricing or not.
Plan on revisiting this treasure in the next week or two.
Highly recommended for a day trip from Udon.

We went to the Museum last week during the Ban Chiang festival, the Museum entry was free at that time.
I was impressed with the layout and artifacts but the burial pits are not available for viewing for some reason, That previously was the high point for me, seeing the dragons long gone ancestors, I could actually see the similarities.
